Hey Spice!
They had a couple of themes. I think that The Rose by Bette Midler was
first. I can't remember the name of the one you're quoting, though.

Though I wouldn't call it a theme, I loved "Lady in Red" with Steve and Kayla.

Yep...that was my favorite Steve and Kayla song as well. Every time I
hear that song, I think of them.
Joanna (wondering why I'm in such a posting mood tonight...'feels like
the good old "Post-a-matic Supreme" days).

It was "If your Heart Comes Out Tonight" and it was done in house (I
believe by Marty Davich). It is not available commercially. It was a
beautiful song and one of the best original songs from DOOL of that era
(Along with Roman and Diana's "I did it again").
Lix
Thanks to Lix for the title, but--
AUGHGHHG. Phooey. I would love to have that music.
RE "I did it again" is still Roman *AKA* John's theme. Heh heh. I wonder
where I can get one? >:) I loved Steve & Kayla's story. They kept me on
the edge of my seat, waiting for the *ahem* big moment, and they didn't
have to announce to the world every five minutes that they were going to
"make love" *bleah* AND Steve went down fighting--heh heh again. Like
Jack (Matt) did. Is THAT what made those stories so special? That they
didn't act like weasels in heat? I remember the first time Steve kissed
Kayla (I mean really planted one on her) I almost fell off the sofa.
Likewise Jack & Jenn. The story seemed to be more about affection, about
love, rather than sex. And, when the sex did happen, it was portrayed as
romantic, not physical.
*sigh*
