Basically, just last month, in December.

Don't remember the official date, but within the past couple of months. She has
appeared simultaneously on OLTL and Y&R in recent weeks.

Money, money. She didn't get the raise she demanded from Y&R and took a
hike.

She was asked to take a pay cut (Eileen Davidson has now been asked to
as well), but in a soap mag I read she said that the bigger reason was
they were going to cut her air time.

She didn't demand a raise, the show wanted to lower her guarantee (how often
she would be seen each week) and that would include a paycut, yes. However on
OLTL she's actually getting paid less but she's in New York and able to pursue
her Broadway aspirations.

Come, those shiny days

And now its come
Young and Restless dream

Out of fairness to Sharon Case, I don't think it should be assumed
that she's to blame for the loss of Heather Tom. (Unless someone else
here can show some proof.) I think the rampant backstage nepotism on
this show could just as easily have been a significant factor. There
are obviously some people who are not going to be let go unless they
want to leave, and their salaries probably reflect their privileged
status.

Heather's doing great on OLTL (although there seems to be a decidedly
anti-NuKelly faction on RATSA). I suspect she's glad to have moved on,
even though it wasn't entirely voluntary.

No kidding. Not much "prep time" there...

Actually, it's Eileen Davidson and the actor who plays Brad (what's his
name? It escapes me at the moment).

I just wonder how much of a raise Sharon Case really got...I bet it
wasn't much, with all these cuts going on.

No. Not accurate. The show notified her that they would be cutting her
guaranteed days which would cut both her time & potential for
storyline and her salary at the end of her next work cycle, which was
coming up. They hoped she would accept that & stay. She didn't.

She didn't ask for a raise. She had just signed a long-term contract
not that long ago. Y&R wanted to change that, demote her, use her
less, pay her less, give her less in stories, etc.

Jeez Louise, Eileen, too?!!!

Huge raise for Case.

She played hardball with them. She was being mentored by someone else
who had done so successfully & it worked again. Huge raise. Besides it
being a result of strategic gamesmanship it was just before they got
the budget clampdown directive.

Maybe no prep time for learning her lines, but she still has hair and
make-up. I laugh every time I see her sitting there supposedly
catatonic yet freshly coiffed, made up and in her best clothes. I
guess we are to believe Brad must be taking care of those things for
her. God forbid she should look less than perfect in case Victor does
drop by.

I want Victor to see a little more reality. He comes in and finds her
roots growing out, no make-up, drool hanging off of her chin and her
ratty nightgown soiled with the eggs she spit up earlier in the day.
Best of all they could compare moustaches since she hasn't been
bleaching or waxing hers for weeks.
