should have brought him to B&B as Malcolm Winters, photographer
extraordinaire for Spencer Publications, and sent him back and forth between
the shows. Who picks these actors for parts, do they even consider the
previous character when casting? :-)

that guy could be Lily's dad. I am sure he is a fine actor but he took the

For the most part, I am not a fan of recasts. Shemar was too shuck and
jive and it wore thin quickly. Mac, UGH. I don't see a need for Malcolm
to come back.

I hope not on both counts. I never cared that much for the Malcolm
character, but he had charisma, this Malcolm does not, and Sheila, well that

From what i've seen of NuMalcolm i do not care for him. This is just
at first glance. Shemar was so much Malcolm. this new guy just does
not seem right.

I think this is the worst re cast ever. He is just the right type.
They could have found a dark Latin guy to play Mal. I think this guy
is Devon's friend and this is how he got the job. And did anyone see
the preview with his hair standing tall like a chicken? And when I
look at him, I can only think of his real wife and GERMs. He is just a
big old germ. And if you guys don;t know what I men, look up his wife.
She is called Superhead and she is scandulous - Karrine Steffans. Oh
and this guy makes no bones about the fact that he is saved and very
religious. Karrine was with Bill Maher for years and he would not
marry her.

Happy New Year to you, Cheri! I agree with you, Shemar Moore's
Malcolm had charisma and he was easy on the eyes. Maybe they cast
this guy because they know it's only temporary. Like my hatred of
GR's Kevin, I'm probably the only one who still likes Sheila and I am
intrigued that Sheila could be the mother of Ryan's friend or whatever
her relationship is to him. I still like Sheila and would love to see
her return to Y&R.

Maybe they're trying to turn the character around but it looks like
they've just turned the clock back. Malcolm was thug-like when he
first started on the show, IIRC.

Old Mal was a looker but as soon as he opened his mouth on Y&R, I was done.
I couldn't even considering watching his latest prime time for fear of the
old jive talk. Complete turnoff for me.
