These are a week or two old, but if they've been posted already, I missed
them.

Looks like Jack and Carly are going to get back together (or at least move
in that direction) as Chris Goutman is quoted in the article as saying they
"listen to the fans" and will have Carly join Jack on his roadtrip & romance
will be involved.

I really wish they wouldn't. Come on. What fans are clamoring for yet
another Jack and Carly reunion -- this has got the be the 7th or 8th time
Ugh ...

Jack has a great partner in Janet & Carly can surely find someone better
suited to her personality. Simon, for example. I loved them together
actually. And who would Janet be involved with? There's a really limited
number of choices.

In addition, the article says only Simon and Molly will return to Oakdale
after seeing Jack, so I guess Ben and Mike are just glorified cameos or
something.

That's fine by me -- Ben and Mike are both boring as hell (just my opinion,
I know). I was sick to death of Molly last time around, but it has been a
long time, so I have an open mind. Simon, I always love. But again, please,
let's not do a Simon/Katie reunion. Been there, done that. Been there, done
that. Been there, done that.

I saw a spoiler that said something like Katie and Simon realize what

But, we'll see. There's also a spoiler about Dusty and Janet and Teri
having some sort of triangle, probably with Teri just getting jealous
and realizing that she has feelings for him. Ugh. I adore Janet and I
don't know who she'd be left with after all that shakes out. Craig? No
way. Damian? I don't see that, either. Holden? Nah, they'll stick him
back with Lily eventually. I don't have a problem with characters
being without love interests, but soaps tend to, so I fear for the
future of the character.

What really bothers me is that the entire time Jack and Carly were
separated, they never had separate storylines. So them getting back
together is almost good for me as an anti-Carjacker, because this show
backburns happy couples. Once they're back together we'll see them
together less than we do now.

I really liked Carly with Simon. It's a shame they could never get
him to return permanently.

I was sick of Molly too. With Lesli Kay, it's almost like I didn't
know what I had until it was gone. I couldn't stand Molly by the time
she left, but then I loved her as Felicia on B&B.

I'm pretty sure that the endgame is going to be Katie/Henry, not Katie/
Simon. And I loved Katie/Simon the first time but that candle burned
out a long time ago.

I read a spoiler to that effect, that Katie and Simon discuss how that
ship has sailed. That makes me wonder about the purpose of his return.
Is it just to offer that reunion and have Katie come to the conclusion
that Simon was her first love, but Brad was actually the love of her
life? That could be done in a conversation with Margo. Maybe it's just
to introduce Paula Porizkova's character. I'd rather see Simon return
with Vienna back on his arm. Then we could watch Henry work to
convince her that she was right, money doesn't buy happiness, while
she goes back to her old ways to ease her pain.

But I don't see Henry/Katie as the endgame, especially since he and
Vienna got together. Henry/Katie has their chance, back when they got
married, but they realized they were better friends and nothing has
been shown to indicate Henry has any feelings for her anymore besides
"best friend". They work better as partners in crime than lovers. I
totally buy Henry with Vienna, even with Barbara (I wouldn't object to
that pairing), but I don't see Katie as desiring him, even after they
had some surprisingly good sex after they married.

Isn't Leslie Kay on her way back to Oakdale? I know I read that
somewhere.
