...to us or someone offering feedback.

Catching up on the stories this week, I noticed several quick changes
in the current storylines. Evidentally, feedback from viewers, or this
group, have given TPTB some direction. Cases in point:

The New York cop, Chavez, was depicted as, possibly, on the take,
dirty, double-dealing, on Noah's case, on Adrianna's case, wanting the
money for himself. Obviously, feedback said this guy was one dimensional
so a quick rewrite fixed everything in one fell swoop.

They introduced him to him to Abby, where we learned that Adrianna is
his little sister (meaning he wasn't out to get her, but to help her).
This makes him good and honest, so he's not dirty and double-dealing, he's
made friends with Noah, becoming integrated in GC society, and will
probably get his job back but request a transfer to the GCPD.

Feedback must have also told them the Fen-Jamie thing had to go so they
had Jamie drop the charges and Fen is free, just like that. Now they can
flesh out the Fen vs Michael hate thing without complicating it with a
trial. I also noticed that they interspersed the big dual-merging storm
last week with their planned snow event so that it really madethe soap
current as of last week.

You have to admit; they're trying.

One other thing; a spoiler a couple of weeks ago said something like
'Sharon makes an impact on Dylan'. Monday's U.S. (Canada's Friday) show
makes that statement truer than ever, in a roundabout way.

I see no reason whatsoever for Fen to hate Michael, other than he's a
spoiled rich kid.

He's pissed Michael took to Jamie so quickly.

That comes from being a spoiled rich kid...and a brat, though I will say in
Fen's defense, they should have asked him before they took Jamie in, since
Jamie is Fen's age it affects him and his life a lot.

But Fen had already taken an intense dislike to Jamie long
before Michael got involved. He was on board with the bullying
when it was Ronan who was mentoring Jamie.

I agree that it should have been discussed with Fen before
moving Jamie into the spare room. I keep wondering why Paul
doesn't take the kid in since he lives alone with Kitty-Kitty.

But that would make more sense.

As for the IIC listening, if they had, they would have shipped
the obnoxious Chavez AND his irritating sister back to NYC
already. I can't stand either of them! If they plan on making
Chavez part of the bumblefest that is the GCPD, that's just
another example of poor decision making on their part.

I'm just glad they saw the error of their ways and brought back
Abby. Why they ever thought of getting rid of her just doesn't
make any good sense, story-wise or family-connection-wise.

Nyssa, who thinks the Nikki storyline is trite, but might be
interesting anyway...moreso than the Fen-Jamie stuff or the
Adriana-Chavez stuff for sure

He wasn't really on board with the bullying at first, he got on Summer for
it, but he changed when he saw
Summer was liking Jamie.

He's pissed ( and rightly so) that Michael believed Jaime and not him.

I'm just glad they added some age-appropriate potential love interests
for Nick, Adam, Sharon, Cane, Lily, Chelsea, Kevin, Chloe, Billy, Vicky,
Abby etc, in the form of Tyler, Chavez, Carmine, Dylan, Avery, Mason and,
maybe, a few more to come. It was getting pretty tedious with the same
small group bouncing from bed-to-bed-to-bed.

They were even mixing Phyllis, Tucker, Jill, Jack, Nikki, Diane, and,
soon, Michael and Lauren, as well as a few other older folks in with the
younger ones, in desperation. No more Victor and someone half his age
anymore.

In addition to being pissed at his father, he's also a teenager, a very
ensconced and privileged one.

I was trying to figure out how much older/younger Kyle is than Summer,
since Nick told his daughter that he was too old for her. Has that ever
meant anything before and is there really a big age gap, considering how
we, as viewers, know these SORAS'ed characters?

Yes, and what is really bothering me is all this you did this, and you did
that, and Fen did bully but he apologized for it, and Jamie lied about the
roof BUT how come nobody is addressing the fact that "Future Felon Fen"
stole the things from the apartment and hid them in Jamie's backpack? I can
hardly stand Lauren right now either.

I noticed a clip on the previews at the end of today's show that
touched on something I hadn't considered.

Dylan knows Phyllis from his relationship with Avery. It wouldn't
surprise me if Phyllis comes onto Dylan and they become an item, just so
Phyllis can stick it to Avery whom, she feels, stole Nick from her.

Good observation. Yes, that's the way Phyllis operates.

Unfortunately, the age of a character is irrelevant, it has no basis in reality whatsoever. Summer could be 16 today, 35 tomorrow. Just depends on the writers.

When the writers are putting the words in their characters' mouths ("Kyle's
too old for you."), it becomes relevant, to this viewer, anyway.

I'm upset that they have glossed over that as well, Cheri. Setting up
Jamie as a thief was not a small thing... and it doesn't seem to matter
to anyone. I'm sick of Lauren berating Michael too, as if she was a
better parent. I'd like to know how?

I can't stand that brat Fen, and hope some other kid will show him what
it's like to be on the receiving end of the kind of torment he put Jamie
through.

I remember what a twit she was from the old days, but for the past few years
she's been redeemed, now this. It's really out of character for her now.
Michael is flawed, always has been, but if I was him...I'd be getting far
away from those two nuts for awhile. There's something spooky about "sweet
little Fenmore."
