Doesn't he though??!! I've been meaning to post about this for awhile now
actually (not just after last week's binge). We've seen Billy hit the
bottle more than a few times and he's very very good at portraying the
drunken party boy (the manerisms are spot on). But then, Billy
Abbott/Miller is simply a very good actor..period. He's my personal fave
character on the show (has been for awhile...overtaking Mikey who had been
my fave for years till the new Billy showed up). He simply has this quality
to charm anyone in any scene he's in and he can tailor his approach to
pretty much any situation presented to him. I think he's fantastic (and
proof positive that multiple recasts can actually pay dividends).

Billy rocks!!

I was just thinking that last week. He should get an Emmy nomination
for being one of the convincing drunks on TV. I know Kelly Ripa sure
can't act as a drunk. Everytime she does so, on Live, she's horrible at
it.

Billy Miller is a frist class actor. He has made the character of
Billy Abbott so real!

Yes! He's fucking nailed it!! He's very well skilled at his craft.

I am on the same page with you on all your points about Billy and Mikey
Dave. Mikey is great (I love Kevin too). Billy is fantastic! It's
strange though that Mikey gave a kidney to Danny way back and drinks, is
an attorney, but hasn't been drunk on air in awhile. Billy is frequently
seen drunk, excellent job to the actor who portrays him. I don't know
his name. He's easy on the eyes too and a personality I would get along
with.

Now, what he sees in Mac is another story.

I just love the guy!

There are some people you want to see go, some you don't. Billy is a keeper.

He's certainly nailed the character - or, more to the point, has
*created* a character. He just exudes charm, a person who is used to
getting by on that charm. A bad-boy-but-ain't-I-adorable? And, yes,
he does drunk better than anyone I've seen in years - including one
idjit in my family who makes a habit of it at holiday dinners, the
dumb*ss. Billy is the errant nephew who needs a regular kick in the
butt, but you forgive. Again and again and again...

Haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I just got in (long day)...and the
Leafs game is currently on (playing in Edmonton...late game). I'll watch
today's Y&R after the game.

Sidenote - earlier this morning I picked up my buddy at the airport (he was
flying in from Brazil). We hit Cora's restaurant on Dixie Rd for breakfast
around 7:30am. Instead of the waitress delivering our breakfast...it was
some chick who works for CITY TV's Breakfast Television. Turns out they
were broadcasting live Cora's this morning (I had no idea until we sat
down). They had me and my buddy on TV for a few minutes talking about New
Years resolutions while we ate our breakfast. Later on this afternoon I
walked into a Hallmark store and the woman behind the counter sees me walk
in the door and she shouts out...Hey, we're you on TV this morning?? I said
yes (and blushed a little). I had no idea people actually watch TV that
early in the morning.

I think some people will like Thursday's US show and some won't. I
liked it. My mom said she didn't like it.

I think part of it depends on how much you like the actor who plays
billy. If you love him you'll probably like the show. It's similar to
some of their
past efforts (like the one they did with michael).

Just finished watching the American / CBS broadcast.....and I absolutely
LOVED IT!! Kinda different spin than A Christmas Carol with the same result
(nice to see John again). Any show that revolves about Billy Abbott/Miller
is A-OK in my books. Hat-tip to Victoria picking him up at the end (this
signals to me the future pairing of these two which I would be happy to see
as they have tremendous chemistry together).

No, thank God. I've been on vacation since last week and haven't shaved (my
head or my face) in quite awhile. They completely caught me off guard. I
was expecting my bacon and eggs with a side of toast....not a microphone and
TV camera stuck in my face.

Well, seeing as how my stupid affiliate decided to change times on the show
for this one day back to 12:30 I missed it! had no idea they would change
the time, tuned in at 3 to football.

Considering the actor is 77 (born in 1932), he IS old...and is
sounding older, too...but still looks good. I loved today's show with
Billy and John. Billy is so natural an actor, even when the storyline
stinks, I enjoy watching him.

I spent the 30th - today in Vegas and watched that show on my laptop.
The feed was erratic as hell and I didn't like the show well enough to
struggle through the hiccups, even with John's appearance. It's DVR'd
and I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Or not.
