depends on the role(s) you are trying for - but just about any other
Ashman and/or Menken song that's similar in tone/voice type to the
role you're shooting for should be appropriate. I would shy away from,
say, the Elton John/Phil Collins Disney tunes.

knowing what role(s) you have in mind, what type of company this is

Cut song? Hardly.

It was added to the show in 1998 and has been surprisingly popular
with performers. I don't like it at all.
