Even more cuts than in CHICAGO including: Not Since Chaplin, Only With
You, Nine, Ti Voglio Bene, Simple, and On Your Own-- all of which I'd
hoped to hear. Day-Lewis does okay with Guido's Song (a number I can do
without, even on stage) but has to fake his way through "I Can't Make
This Movie." I was disappointed with the vocals of Cotillard and Cruz,
but basically liked the rest. The two completely new songs are just
okay. (Sophia Loren's song uses a musical theme from the show.) Since
there are only 12 tracks (10 songs) in the film, there are 4 filler
bonus tracks. Fergie gives the soundtrack's most theatrical performance.
What Up With That?
