The Northwest Asian American Theatre is an equal opportunity employer,
committed to workforce diversity.
As the region's only API American theatre, NWAAT serves to promote the
visions and voices of the API American community. In doing so, the theatre
augments a positive self-image through the arts and provides arts access
to underserved populations, such as the region's community of recent
immigrants whose transition into American life is aided by NWAAT's
artistic and cultural outreach efforts. In a time of ever-increasing
cultural diversity, NWAAT seeks to use the medium of high-quality theatre
as a bridge between the API community and the community-at-large,
initiating dialogue and expanding cultural understanding. NWAAT fosters an
environment where API Americans function as role models for the API
community, utilizing the performing arts to re-affirm the API American
experience.
