[VOY] MJC's 2-cent review: "Alice"

Synopsis: Tom Paris becomes obsessed with a mysterious alien
vessel that imperils the entire crew.
MJC Review:
The Drama -
Not bad, not bad at all. We finally get to see Tom's obsession
with his hobbies come to a full climax! This time a hobby with an
alien ship almost completely assimilates him! I wondered how
B'Elanna would play this one out. Would she leave him or come
to the rescue? Turns out, that the writers made a good choice in
using her character and the Tom/B'ELanna romance to save the
day! It should definitely strengthen their relationship. I must say
that the ship's character "Alice" seemed quite convincing. I
certainly would have obeyed her every command. Robert McNeill
played out this one quite well. It's about time the writers made an
episode that allowed him to show his good drama skills.
Tid Bits -
A full compliment of shuttles????? What was Chakotay (or rather
the writers) thinking? I've completely lost track of how many
shuttles Voyager has lost! What can I say, YATI. I wonder just
how old Tuvok really is....hummmm.
What it all means - Don't get too involved in something. If you get
too obsessed, it (or she/he) just my get you killed. However,
having someone there to "save the day" for you no matter what is
very reassuring.
....Hummmm.....wonder if I can download that Alice program to
my computer........
