[+] Ratings included in the first S.O.S. posting this week
---------------------------------------------------------------
If you're new to the S.O.S., hit space and keep reading. If you're
familiar with the system, hit `n' now
WHAT IS IT?
The S.O.S. (Spoiler-free Opinion Summary) is a twice-weekly posting
made by yours truly. Its purpose is to provide an indication of the
net's reaction to new episodes of both current Star Trek series, TNG
and DS9. The first posting is made Thursday and is intended to give
those people who don't see the episode until later in the week a
hint as to the quality of episode to expect. The second posting is
made Monday and gives the final ratings for the entire week, to
summarize the opinions of the viewing populace (or at least those
who participate :-)
HOW DO I JOIN IN?
Becoming a part of the S.O.S. is simple. After you've seen the
episode, send me email at `jre...@magnus.acs.ohio-state.edu'.
Include a simple rating on any numeric scale and an indication of
the series for which you are submitting a rating. Please do NOT
include any spoiler information. I usually don't get to see the
episodes until Saturday or Sunday, and I like to go in fresh. Also,
if your name does not appear in the "From:" line of your emails, try
to be sure to include your first and last name somewhere in the
message. Having it in your .sig is fine. You can submit changes to
your ratings later, but if you do PLEASE let me know that you already
sent a rating in for that episode. It makes my life much easier.
WHEN CAN I SUBMIT?
You can submit any time you like. It's best if you submit before
the posting times (sometime Monday and Thursday evenings). All
ratings I get up until the minute I post will be included in the
postings. Ratings I get after the second posting will be included
in the database and used to calculate episode averages, but they
will not be seen individually in any postings.
This concludes this installment of the S.O.S. Join us next posting
for more exciting adventures... and thanks for your opinions!
Joe
