Announcing Toronto's First SCIENCE FICTION FILM FESTIVAL

Hi. This is the first of 5 articles being posted regarding a science fiction film festival I’m starting here in Toronto. It’s being called The Toronto Sci-Fi Film Fest. (I know, I know. I don't like the term "Sci-Fi" any more than you. It was a marketing thing. We’ll probably change it later to something like "T.S.F.³")

It’ll run from Thursday, November 1^st to Sunday, November 4^th, 2001 at the Bloor Cinema. There will be new films, classics, a fantastic Hollywood premiere or two, celebrity guest hosts and private parties.

Yeah, I know. There’s already LOTS of other film festivals here in Toronto. But most of them appeal to very specific groups or are tres serious or only have artsy, avant garde-type films that nobody understands anyway. I want to have a film festival that people will come to simply because it's going to be FUN!
