I started a Google group
Lonnie Courtney Clay
for the convenience of people aching to bash me, but unwilling to
clutter up this newsgroup. I think that I have it set up so anybody
can reply, and any member can start a new topic. Let me know if you
have a problem with that.

Apparently I am an idiot. The 2003 vintage system,anti-virus,and
firewall on the 3 computers on our household net were no match for
hackers last night. After spam was sent using my email
cla...@comcast.net, I was cut off by comcast.. Replacing all the
software with brand new stuff after fdisk on the computers took until
now. I sincerely hope that nobody was seriously inconvenienced by this
criminal act. If there is a repetition I will ask the authorities to
investigate.

On the other hand you did not know that when you posted, or did you?
So is there anything in particular you consider idiotic besides the
general content of my posts ?

[Who?]

Back in the day, everyone had their phones tapped. They were quite sure of
it, and proud. They said, I'm being watched; you better watch what you say
around me. I'm hot.

Then the Freedom of Information came down, and all the dippy radicals were
able to search for their own files with the FBI. My name is Lennon, they
said. Harv Lennon. I'm probably right next to John.

Never heard of you, said the FBI, in 99% of the cases. Who are you again?

They were crushed. After all, they wailed, I once led a fast through lunch
at the cafeteria on behalf of whales!

Sic semper simps.

I don't even know who you are. I don't consider the general content
of your posts to be anything. I thought the one I responded to was
amazingly silly, but evidently that will not come as a surprise.

No doubt I will misquote below, but I do not have a copy of "Sherlock
Holmes" handy.....
Holmes : The most revealing clue is the peculiar thing which the dog
did in the night.
Watson : But Holmes, the dog did nothing!
Holmes : Yes Mr. Watson, and that is what I find so very
interesting....
I am not Holmes, but anybody can smell a skunk when it moves into the
neighborhood.

1) Taxation without representation is theft. A citizen has an
obligation
to the *nation* of citizenship, but no obligation to support a
tyrannical
*government* - see The Declaration of Independence "For imposing Taxes
on
us without our Consent" among other notable (and familiar) offenses. I
reject the notion that I have a *unilateral* and *irrevocable* duty to
the *government*, but accept the responsibilities of citizenship in
the
*nation*. If you cannot recall the words of the "Pledge of Allegiance"
then I suggest you look it up. The definition of "Republic" may also
give
you some helpful insights into my point of view. Prohibition was
repealed
due to popular demand. If the American *nation* yells loud enough then
just possibly Congress can be taught the economic facts of life. My
personal opinion is that we have the technology to run continuous
referendums, and the cost of adding this direct feedback is far less
than
the cost of economic ruin. Let the American people vote on anything,
and
I will abide by the judgment of the *majority of American citizens*.
It
is interesting to note that the federal government demands that its
employees (particularly the military) swear to uphold and defend the
Constitution (and by implication the government) but so far as I know
(correct me if I am wrong) does NOT encourage them to make any oath of
obligation to the American *nation*. They salute the flag but their
lips
are sealed.

2) Representation implies accountability to those "represented" by the
incumbent of a legislative office. Regardless of theory, practical
experience shows that an incumbent who *runs* for reelection is almost
certain to be reelected. Furthermore (regardless of theory) the only
opportunity available for the vast majority of constituents to affect
the
voting of those legislators occurs at fixed term elections, and we all
know the value of campaign promises. Due to the "party" system of
politics (somebody should add a URL link to this thread telling how
much
the founding fathers despised political parties) the choice of
"representatives" is limited to Tweedledum or Tweedledee. Since voters
usually do not want to vote *for* someone, they stay home on election
day. Representation by geographical district (rather than at-large)
practically guarantees that the "representative" will actually
represent
a constituent minority. Somebody please add a graph showing total
votes
received by the elected members of each Congress over the past 100
years
superimposed over the census bureau data for citizens entitled to
vote.

3) From 2) above and the problems noted in the current debate over
campaign finance reform, it should be obvious that a revision to make
America a representative democracy is needed. If you eliminate the
campaign financing then the problem of bribery/influence may be
reduced
to a manageable level *if* legislators are made subject to the
penalties
of RICO. If you eliminate the campaigns then there is no need for
financing at all. If you eliminate the elections then there is no need
for campaigns. You can eliminate elections by converting to a system
of
representation by proxy similar to what is used in corporate
stockholder
meetings. Every citizen of voting age has one vote and can allocate
that
vote (at his or her option) by assigning a proxy to a person trusted
to
represent the interests of that citizen. Eliminate geographical
allocation and periodic elections. A proxy can be changed to a
different
person at any time, with no upper limit on the number of legislators.
It
might be a good idea to put an *upper* limit on the number of proxies
which a single representative legislator can vote. If you keep the
fixed
term election system of government, try adding "None Of The Above" as
a
choice in the ballot box. That will bring the voters into the polls!
By
the way, this form of legislature is something I read in a book in
1980.
Ask a Libertarian familiar with science fiction to tell you the name
of
the book. I am confident that the American people can come up with
some
better legislative system than what we have now. I am confident that
when
(not if) another "recession" a.k.a. depression hits there will be a
serious effort to call a Constitutional Convention. We Baby Boomers
can
solve these problems if Depression Generation just cannot muster the
energy and intellect to clean up its act. Move over gramps, you sorry
old
sad sack.....

4) Suppose we had a proxy representation system as outlined above. The
legislative representatives actually represent 100 percent of the
voting
age constituents. One proxy one vote is used to pass policy
legislation
(*NOT* one representative one vote). There is still a problem with 1)
taxation without representation because about one percent of the
proxies
are held as representative of just about all the wealth of the nation.
The legislators need to have two faces - for policy purposes one proxy
one vote, but for *allocation* purposes one *tax dollar* voted equals
one
revenue dollar allocated. The tax dollars paid to the government by
the
constituent go into a government managed account to be dispensed at
the
discretion of the proxy holder of that constituent. No tax dollars
paid
equals no money in account. A million paid minus 100,000 voted/
dispensed
equals 900,000 in the account. Is there anybody in the world too
stupid
to understand that ? Okay, around the Mulberry bush again. As an
example
99 percent of the proxies held by legislators vote to give a loaf of
bread and a ticket to the circus to the citizens every day at a cost
of
200 billion dollars. The representatives follow up on this nonsense by
voting as one tax dollar one vote, pass the hat and collect 2 million.
All watch with interest to see how fairly the proceeds are distributed
while bakers and clowns riot to protest lost revenue opportunities.

SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP

ClayLC

to

You have a right to think anything you please, and express your opinions
in debate with me, if such is your desire. It would be helpful if you
were to specify precisely what you find personally objectionable.

So far as professional help is concerned, I am under court order to
make outpatient visits to the veterans administration hospital and to
take the medications as prescribed by the doctors. I have been doing so
since 1997, and currently am taking 80 mg twice per day of Ziprasidone.
I am sleeping 8+ hours per day, though not in one lump. My most recent
visit to the doctors was Tuesday this week, and the doctors were aware
that I had started posting my crazy notions again. I was not forbidden
to continue, and am probably considered "mostly harmless". As I stated
previously, Edison slept only in short naps for months, and discovered
the light bulb. If someone had called Edison crazy for that, then they
would have been criticized. I am already a certified wacko paranoid
schizophrenic, living on a VA disability pension and have a poor
reputation due to my posts on Google as email tc5526 and lcclay1 while
suffering sleep deprivation psychosis. I have very little to lose at
this time, and hope that my efforts may lead to employment. See the
links below.
Abnormal psychology - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Schizophrenia.com - Paranoid Schizophrenia Symptoms, Paranoid
Schizophrenia Diagnosis
Sleep deprivation

Last week Cho was being celebrated in an orgy of media coverage.
Watching that on television made me very angry and motivated me to
start posting again to relieve my frustration with my situation.
Leaving aside the obvious, perhaps I was influenced by subliminal
messages. See :
Subliminal message - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am stating my personal opinions rather than strongly held beliefs.
What I think as the basis of my opinions is based on the evidence I
find and reference on the internet, television, books I have read, and
what I feel based on them. As I type in my opinions, I review them to
see if they say what I intend. I can make mistakes, and probably have
made several, if not many. See :
Belief - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thought - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Evidence - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Opinion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In my opinion I am not suffering from Egocentrism. Although I place
more value on my opinions than those of others, I am willing to be
convinced that I am wrong. See :
Egocentrism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It occurs to me to wonder whether you would criticize the Pope for the
notion of papal infallibility. I am not the least bit interested in
religion myself, having suffered coercion as a child from having a
fanatical Southern Baptist father. Can over one billion people be
totally wrong in their beliefs about God ? I have no personal interest
in the topic. See :
Papal infallibility - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Roman Catholic Church - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So far as words being acronyms, it seems to me that this is well
established fact based on brain physiology , with interpretation by the
subconscious mind. It is well established fact that hymns bring a thrill
and dirges make you feel sad. If words have no effect on your bodily
emotions perhaps *you* are the freak.

A thought provoking thread is underway at :
Ancestor simulations and Intelligent Design - Cool Sci-Fi Forums

In my opinion the simulation argument is a pessimistic viewpoint. If
the universe and its contents are all simulated, then the owner could
pull the plug at any time. Besides, it begs the question of what is
running the simulation. As one poster said, maybe it's turtles all the
way up/down. Furthermore it does not explain the consistency of the
universe as observed by our collective senses and technology. It would
take a rather incredible network of processors, software, and nearly
infinite database to run even one universe.
Large-scale structure of the cosmos - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Universe within 12.5 Light Years - The Nearest stars
Furthermore, see my previous discussion regarding our situation :
terraforming - rec.arts.sf.written | Google Groups

Although there are in my opinion many if not an infinite number of
dimensions and universes, we are like Neanderthal man in our
understanding compared to our intellects and capabilities in the
foreseeable future. The commonly held viewpoint is extremely
homo-centric and parochial, not taking into account the possibility of
intelligent aliens in our universe and higher dimensional beings other
than the religious pantheon developed by mankind. Furthermore, mankind
has disenfranchised and dominated all other species on this planet, is
usually xenophobic, and racial intolerance with violent conflict is
common. This situation needs to evolve into a more considerate
treatment of all lifeforms.

Massively multiplayer online game - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is another possibility, with the universe being as real as it
gets, rather than a simulation. Higher dimensional players are born
into flesh and evolve during their lives, buying into the game and
earning income based on their ratings. Players who go bankrupt in their
home dimension die in this universe. Otherwise they live a life until
they die, whether of natural causes or by violence. If this is the
case, then I hope I have a high score when I die, because I want to buy
back in to see what happens in the future, which is bound to be even
more interesting than the past 51 years of my life.

Some people think there are no higher dimensional beings, not even a
God. If you are an atheist you deny the existence of supernatural
beings and perhaps even of souls.. I find such a viewpoint unreasonable
and suggest that if you see no point to living, you should learn more
about life until you do. What do you have to lose by beliefs, and what
do you have to gain if life is pointless ? I hold the opinions that I
have a soul, there are supernatural beings, and I am willing to grant
the possibility that all lifeforms in the web of life have souls too. I
also have the opinion that reincarnation of the soul is possible. If my
karma is bad at the end of this life, I come back as a roach. If it is
outstanding, I come back as a wealthy couple's child.

The very first time I wrote a program was in 1973. It was in Fortran on

purchased corn to feed rats, who in turn were eaten by cats, with
revenue being made by skinning the cats and feeding their carcasses to
the rats and selling the skins in a simulated marketplace, the profits
being invested into expanding the farm. I quickly discovered that the
computer was far too small for the details I wanted, and slow as well.
I was just a programmer then, see :

the universe as observed by our collective senses and technology. It
would take a rather incredible network of processors, software, and
nearly infinite database to run even one universe.

I hold the opinion that there are many if not an infinite number of
dimensions and universes. I hold the opinion that we are like

Neanderthal man in our understanding compared to our intellects and
capabilities in the foreseeable future. The commonly held viewpoint is
extremely homo-centric and parochial, not taking into account the

possibility of intelligent aliens in this universe and higher
dimensional beings besides the religious pantheon developed by

mankind. Furthermore, mankind has disenfranchised and dominated all

other species on this planet, is usually xenophobic, and racial/
cultural intolerance with violent conflict is common. This situation

needs to evolve into a more considerate treatment of all lifeforms.

This is another possibility, with the universe being as real as it
gets, rather than a simulation. Higher dimensional players are born
into flesh and evolve during their lives, buying into the game and
earning income based on their ratings. Players who go bankrupt in
their home dimension die in this universe. Otherwise they live a life
until they die, whether of natural causes or by violence. If this is
the case, then I hope I have a high score when I die, because I want
to buy back in to see what happens in the future, which is bound to be
even more interesting than the past 51 years of my life.

Some people think there are no higher dimensional beings, not even a
God. If you are an atheist you deny the existence of supernatural
beings and perhaps even of souls.. I find such a viewpoint
unreasonable and suggest that if you see no point to living, you
should learn more about life until you do. What do you have to lose by
beliefs, and what do you have to gain if life is pointless ? I hold
the opinions that I have a soul, there are supernatural beings, and I
am willing to grant the possibility that all lifeforms in the web of

life have souls too. I also hold the opinion that reincarnation of the
soul is possible. If I have bad karma at the end of this life, then I
come back as a roach. If the karma is outstanding, I come back as a

I see that the problem seems to be using hyper-links rather than HTML
tags. I will use only HTML tags in future postings. I will not post new
topics on this thread because I have run out of science fiction type
things to say. I may reply to comments posted on this thread, but will
confine new topics to my Google group named after me.

I am having problems with network pests who are using the Squid
Analysis Report Generator to track the network activity on the
computer which I am using. The tracking is causing "transferring data
from" (ash-v165.ash.youtube.com and ash-v124.ash.youtube.com among
others) to occur when I attempt the playing of youtube selections. I
am very annoyed by these pests and I am publicly exposing them here
and now. I welcome any suggestions on this thread relevant to how I
can swat them, and prevent others from causing similar problems. I
thank you in advance for any time which you may invest on the problem.

This is the final post which I intend to make on this thread. Anyone
who is interested in what I am currently saying already knows where to
find out more. Those who are not interested can emit a grunt of
satisfaction, if they have not already used their kill-files. I will
try to drum up interest on groups devoted to discussion of movies,
television, and music rather than drilling further down this dry-hole.
I got a little oil out, with over 500 views per week of what I am
posting. I will pat myself on the back when the number rises to
50000....

Before you go, a question if you please.
Are you diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome?

I read the article above. Some of the symptoms were matched, but I
learned to speak and read at a very early age. So I do not see where
autism can be a factor. I do have difficulty interacting socially, and
I prefer the computer keyboard to the party scene. The short answer is
no, but I was diagnosed to be a paranoid schizophrenic in 1997 by
veteran's administration doctors. I question their competence because
among other reasons they failed to inquire how much sleep I had been
getting lately. Anybody will go crazy after several days without
sleep, which happened to me. I have not contested their diagnosis
legally because I get a veteran's disability pension for being crazy.
This is in contrast to no income whatsoever from May 1990 - Mar 1998.
I lack any incentive to be sane when I am only paid to be crazy......

Yes, I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome?

what does your question imply? does it make me more or does it make

(I'd say, neither)

does it make me understand AS better and speak from the place of true
knowledge of what it's like to be ME? Yes, of course.

I've had many people ask the same: are you diagnosed with Asperger's?

well, is it a competition? are you jealous? do you WANT to be
diagnosed with AS yourself? LOL :-))))))))))

It IS kinda cool, I aggree. But to us - Aspie's - it's just a way of
