You bet. There are no good roads in Poland, at least by American standards.
The only real highway goes from Cracow through Silesia to the German border.
One of the priorities of the present government is building more
superhighways, but the progress is slooow. Of course, our roads are still
better than Russian ones:

and see for yourself - they claim the Cracow-Warsaw route takes 4h27m, and
sometimes it is worse; this means average speed of 67 km/h or less.
