The reason we saw Superboy always wearing a red sweater with blue
jeans was explained: in case he ever needed to fly off to deal with an
emergency without having time to change, he treated his Clark Kent
clothes with chemicals to make them friction-proof. Unfortunately,
these chemicals dyed his clothing; he could choose whether to dye his
clothes red or blue, but that was all he could do to control this
limitation.

So this is why all of the adult Clark Kent's suits are blue as well.
