Now, if that isn't 4th-wall breaking in the last panel,
then I ... um... I'm not sure just *what* I'll do,
but *some*thing or other, you can rest assured.

But uh... is that particular style of 4th-wall-break getting
more and more common in webcomics lately, or am I just
noticing it more?

Perhaps there is some physical thing on which he is resting his hands
that has just been made to coincide with the panel borders.

He isn't exhibiting conscious awareness of being watched by us, the
readers.

Let's say it's a very _borderline_ case of fourth-wall breaking. Oh,
dear, I think I just made a bad pun.

I'm not clear on what you're looking at. Is there a panel up after Nov 20
or are you looking at an older one or something beyond the ken of mortal men
or what? If you're talking Nov 20 my take is that we're seeing Gil from
Tarvek's viewpoint, although the hand grasping the frame of the panel does
suggest that it might be otherwise.

If it's Nov 20 I gotta say Tarvek seems quicker on the uptake than Gil.

And abou the the Kessel, you know Othar could have warned it about Agatha

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

His fingers are this side of a frame that is, itself,
metaphorically *hanging* on the 4th wall.

And if his hand could just happen to be resting on something,
I say that Wright just happened to paint his fingers.

I only hope that Gil has realized that it is a faux fight, as well.
Otherwise it could be difficult. OTOH, since he is the one that is
keeping Tarvek alive, the first move of a serious combat would be to
jerk loose those hoses and connectors.
