I saw this. I am not sure whether it will have the effect of producing
science-positive upbeat SF, but all we can do is try.

I boggled at this sentence, a mere two paragraphs in:

"Mr. [Neal] Stephenson, of course, was a founding author of the dark
sci-fi genre known as cyberpunk".

For values of 'founding author' that include 'not a founding author'.
And describing cyberpunk as 'dark' is simply idiotic.
