I'm considering doing a longish post about Charles Williams. I'm
getting the impression that the borders of genres, in his work,
aren't as strong as they could be, so I don't want to confine myself
to the novels (one of which seems to have a short-story sequel),
even with the addition of the more accessible Arthurian verse, but
rather to include at least all his, um, imaginative literature
(meaning fiction, poetry, plays, and arguably essays), and ideally,
all his books, albeit dismissing ordinary biographies, for example,
in a few lines. (<Witchcraft>, however, probably merits a bit more
attention.)

Well, unfortunately, his *first* book, a sonnet sequence called <The
Silver Stair>, though published in 1912 and so public domain at least
in the US (and Australia), turns out to be crazy inaccessible in
Seattle. I may just put this off until I can spare the interlibrary
loan fee (which will probably be a good strategy for some of the
later books too), but I'm hoping someone here

a) is already familiar with Williams and in a better position to do
the whole project *anyway*

or

b) has access to a copy of the book and is willing to send me (or
upload to archive.org, Gutenberg, or an Australian site) a scan or
other e-text.

Thanks!

I enjoyed Williams' fiction greatly, but his poetry was tough sledding.
