Someone (Chris Mullins? Darkelf?) asked RJ at the Palo Alto book signing
on Saturday, if Moggy was raped by SH. His answer was (paraphrased)
"Yes, and then some." Someone else, who had less to drink that night
than I did (Chris?), may be able to remember his exact words.

(Some original, some plundered. Please feel free to ask these
for me at your local signing)

1. Does True Power/Saa abuse cause inflamation (literally) of the eyes?
Of the mouth? Why does Ishy/Moridin seem to melt things/burn them
without thinking?

2. If a Myrdraal channels too much of the TP do the Saa flow across
his forehead?

3. Why haven't we ever seen Ishy & SH in the same scene? Did SH &
Moghedian, well, you know, did they?

4. Why is the GLotD so damned loyal to his forsaken? Can't he find
local talent? Why doesn't he reincarnate generals, etc. who died
during the AoL rather than reusing these thirteen? Why was Lanfear
reincarnated as a platinum blonde?

5. What does the GLotD really want? What happens to the world
if the pattern is destroyed? Why does he want to touch the world?

6 Why does need work in the blight? Could happy barney thoughts work
along the border? Has this happened?

7. Why in Rhuidean memories did the old AS from the age of legends
have ageless faces?

8 Was the whole "Danger Twins Join the Circus" idea in FoH lifted from
a charlie's angels episode? (Title courtesy of Troy Terry)

9. Are there such things as girlyMyrdraals? What is the childhood of a
Myrdraal like?

10. Damane feel n-times the pain their Sul'dams feel. What happens
when a sul'dam linked to a damane dies in battle?

11. Is Tai'Daishar the foal of Daishar?

12. Exactly what are the SeaFolk wedding vows? (Notice I don't ask about
the SeaFolk wedding *customs*)

13. Is the OP accessible throughout all seven ages of the Wheel even
if people aren't born with or aware of the channelling talent?

14. What is the criterium for being reborn? Is everyone unbalefired who
once lived alive or in a holding pattern.

15. Can the Great Lord get his hand on your soul if you walk in the Light
(or even the twilight?) if you're simply dead? (ref: Kari)

16. Are boys always reborn as boys, girls as girls (Halima excepted)?
How is sai(din/dar) tied to the soul? ("Are souls gendered")

17. Why did the Caemlyn darkfriends help out Morgase? Was it orders?
Simple greed? What?

18. Is it important that the whitecloak hanging out with Morgase had
been hanging out earlier with Galad?

19. Given that Mat has been left out of the entire book and is
apparently in peril, what is RJ's view of flashbacks? (Especially
since we missed the great Mat/Couladin showdown)

20. How many months pregnant is Aviendha now? Will her baby be
"really ugly"?

21. Why did Nynaeve suddenly get less powerful. (Elayne with angreal
is about 2 Nynaeves, formerly Nynaeve equalled about a half-dozen
linked AS with a sa'angreal.)

22. Whats the deal with Elayne & the inn & the hot ter'angreal? <grin>

23. How does RJ justify the worse-than-slavery/worse-than-rape of
involuntary warder bonding?

24. Could someone bond Bela?...pause....Why? Any chance that Bela will
foal during the series? Exactly how old is Bela supposed to be?

25. Where's the other weather bowl mentioned in the Seanchan seal?
(The bowl of clouds?) (I love this sort of question)

26. Is Alise Harriet? Would RJ allow us to petition him to keep her from
ever sniffing--even once?

27. Is Egwene the Pope of Avignon?

28. Why isn't Sevanna more terminally stupid?

29. Did Aviendha see the Dull Knife in the Rhuidean ter'angreal?

30. Can all warderbonds be used to compel? Even wifebonds?

31. Is Rand/Lews Therin madness a zero sum game?

32. Is Lanfear's skin now a fashion accessory for the Foxa/eelfs?

33. What the heck is going on with Verin, Cadsuane, Merana & Zarya?

34. How does the Oath rod work? If you remove all oaths, without
stilling, do you remain ageless?

35. Why did Graendal kill Asmodean?

36. Jordan writes: "Myrddraal's appetites for women were well known".
Is this appetite more likely to include salt & pepper (ala the
Trollocs) or, say, whipped cream?

0. [Why did RJ include a cameo of himself as a garden gnome? (Don H

Don't know, and because he's a fucking loon.

Er. . .

It is strongly implied in ACOS, and all but confirmed in POD.

Doesn't want to waste talent; probably doesn't exist in large quantities;
plot device; who knows.

> 7. Why in Rhuidean memories did the old AS from the age of legends

Either a misstep, or a misinterpretation by Rand.

>12. Exactly what are the SeaFolk wedding vows? (Notice I don't ask about

One of these in answered in POD, but I can't remember where - it involves
who defers to who in public and private situations.

Why would he want to justify it?

>30. Can all warderbonds be used to compel? Even wifebonds?

Likely. See glossary of POD.

I asked RJ, at the Palo Alto signing, if Moggy was raped by Shadar Haran in
ACOS.

His reply was, "Yes. Amoungst other things."

The series is rather graphically violent. Dumai's Well would do the
worst blood and gore horror flics proud. I must admit, compared to
that, I was almost relieved at the 'kneel or you will be knelt' part.

Recall when they used need the first time while looking for the THING
that would help their cause, they went to Tar Valon's store rooms
first, and had to think 'i need something not in TV'. This leads me to
believe that either another bowl is there, or some sort of other

My bet is on a second bowl.

Ahh, but she is. Oh, and she now ranks on my list of characters that
must be killed off. Somehow Faile and Nynaeve managed to get off that
list this book, they were very nearly liveable.

ObLooney: Sevanna finds out her pet AS is a darkfriend and is turned to
the Light. Or is made da'tsang by her fellows. The second is
preferable.

I think Sevanna's going to eventually use the sad bracelets on Rand,
or that's her goal anyway. She still seems to think she can channel,
and has some confidence that she'll control him.

Of course she could still get killed, and someone else could obtain
the goodies given to her by Sammael. Maybe they will end up in the

Yes; no. Elayne is clearly weaker by a fair degree than Nynaeve, but
she would fall under the "non-negligible" class of females as offered by
Graendal (For reference's sake, Elayne falls right on the borderline of
Nynaeve's ability to shield while the other holds saidar). You could
also chalk it up to an inaccuracy/hyperbole of Nynaeve's POV in the
Healing Mat scene.

No. Read tPoD's glossary on the Asha'man's bonding. There's clearly
two kinds of bonds; one has an inherent Compulsion, the other doesn't.
