It seemed stupid that Tuon when at the meeting with Rand didn't just say
"Matrim's my my husband". Rand would have bowed congradulations and maybe
bent a knee to the wife of his lifelong friend, Prophecy fufilled!

Rand probably would have laughed at her stutter.

Rand probably would have assumed she was lying and stormed out. It
probably would have made matters worse.

This is still the Wheel of Time, Sanderson or not. People don't often
say useful things to each other, and when they do, they are generally
ignored.

I still think it would have made a nicer epiphany if Rand had gone to
Ebou Dar to destroy the Seanchan and had his Moment there, and just
gone on in and bowed to the throne. He would have scored a lot of cool
points with me for that.

Over all, in spite of the numerous awesome things he did in this book,
he still came off looking like a bit of a douche.

Looks like Mark still doesn't want to talk to me, so I'll talk with
anyone who seems willing to discuss the books. Like always.

Great unwritten line: Tuon: Meet my husband (Mat comes in, Rand faints).

ITT: People are still assuming the Seanchan prophecies are valid and
had not been corrupted just to paint the emperors/empresses in a good
light?

Damane has a Foretelling, "blah blah cryptic crap happens, and the
Crystal Throne will bow to the Dragon!"
Sul'dam slaps the damane, "Yeah bitch, no way we're going to tell that
to the Empress.. time for a rewrite."

Also, as has been posted before: Bowing down to a ter'angreal that
inspires awe does not equate to bowing before a person who uses the
thing as their throne.

Bowing under ter'angreal influence =/= bowing down to the Seanchan
Empress/gubment.
