I'm starting this thread to beat yads to the punch.

We don't know when Doctor Who will go out of production. We don't know who
will be the final actor to play The Doctor. We don't know who his final
companion will be. We don't know who will be running the show.

Nevertheless, there's so much to discuss about it.

Why or how do you expect anyone to cancel 23rd November or 25th December?

One really good thing about the series is that Sabria grew up so the
show had an added dimension that is lost in most similar shows where, by
the magic of being an animation, you get 20 years of Maggie aged 18
months and Bart and Lisa never going to college of getting a job. Crikey

It did continue to be on air for a while longer. First with the animated
series and then with The Wizards of Waverley Place, which is basically
clone show with Selena Gomez playing the teenage witch. :-)

Having said that, from what I've read, Sabrina was actually a comic strip
before Mellissa Joan Hart's TV show, and so, yes, some fans of the comic
strip didn't like the TV show (I've never seen the comic strip, so I can't
say how well or not the TV show compares to the real original).

Sabrina was originally a spin-off of Archie. I was always a little
disappointed that for as long as that show was on, they never had
Jughead guest-star.

an archaeologist in Peru. Diana is mortal, and therefore has no magic.

and the two had a heart-to-heart when Sabrina was not sure whom to
choose between Harvey and Dashell (she was played by Pam Blair). In her
next appearance (in Season Six's "The Whole Ball of Wax"), Diana was
turned into a ball of wax, and though Sabrina was able to bring her
back, she was told by her aunts that if her mother turned into a ball of
wax again, nothing would bring her back. Diana did manage to attend
Sabrina's wedding in the series finale, but at a price as Zelda was
temporarily turned into a candle (in her last two appearances, Diana was
played by Alley Mills).

They would switch to a real cat whenever it had to walk. Most often it
would be at the end of a scene where Salem would jump down off of
whatever he was sitting on and walk away. It'd be shot as a close-up
of the animatronic cat, then a cut to Sabrina, then cut back to a real
cat jumping off the table and walking out of the shot.

It was a bit off-putting that it was the *non*-magical character who
is played by two actresses who look nothing at all alike (In season 2,
she's a young woman with an athletic build; the other two times, she's
got an entirely traditional "matronly" look). Also, they'd originally
specified that Sabrina was only barred from seeing her mother until
she was 18, but afterward, they act like it had always been the rule
that she was *never* allowed to see her mother.

It was a fun show, but it had a lot of seriously ropey stuff in it,
especially its morality (Like how Harvey spends the second half of the
series being punished for being unable to cope with Sabrina being a
witch, without the show ever acknowledging the fact that he has a
pretty legitimate complaint here, since Sabrina had been lying to him
for years and using magic to *screw around with his brain* without his
consent on a weekly basis.)
