When someone is hateful, why would we not say so? Obviously, you place
us on a pedestal we didn't ask for.

The whole point about accusing people of being hateful and then
wishing someone dead.
I agree about the pedestal thing. Which means that the stuff said by
people who wish others dead for simply having a different opinion can
be taken with an iceberg sized grain of salt.
I for one have seen so many "death wish" posts on Internet political
boards that it really isn't something I care much about anymore,
except to note not to take the people posting such wishes seriously on
anything.
