Did anyone watch Annihilation Earth this past weekend?

Despite the stupid bits (and there were many), and the horrible
/horrible/ acting of the 'UN' lady who had an accent that couldn't make
up its mind between South Carolina and Transylvania, it had a rather
refreshing ending for a Syfy made for tv movie.

The hero pressed the wrong button and the world blew up.

Fantastic, I love that sort of ending. I sincerely hope SGU ends in a
similar way. They don't get home and they all die, with Rush left on a
rock.A bit like now, but with lots of death.

I actually watched two episodes of Monk, because i thought there was a
chance they'd really kill the buggy little bastard.

I just caught up on my tapes enough to watch it. That 'UN' lady was
Marina Sirtis of STTNG fame. "Captain, I sense nausea..." The
accent was atrocious, but I thought she did an adequate job of the
acting. The movie as a whole was down to Syfy's normal standards,
despite the happy ending. There was way too much plot by
stupidity. One must conclude that Raj Bashir was the actual brains
in the team and David W. was just along for the ride.

Really, the only character I wanted to see live was the Marine,
Steakley, and maybe one of two of the children who didn't have any
lines.
