Hm.. am I reading this right, they are skipping SGU next week?
It's the week of Thanksgiving in the US; very little original
programming will be broadcast next week. It's mostly sports, specials,
and movie marathons.

They need to come up with a new list of one word title themes.
berk
Which is why I thought it would be on!

(thanks :)
The main thing is, they're giving us something to be thankful for!

Stargate Universe SGU: It puts the "U" in "SUCKS"!
It's the show 'Defiling Gravity' would be if DG had more regulars,
fewer abortions, worse writers, and no budget for lighting.
Remember, you can't spell "disgust" without SGU!
In other words, nothing watchable. And the following week is rife with
reruns, for no sane reason.

Well, that's AN opinion...

You assume sports are unwatchable.

For me, outside the Olympics, that's generally true. I know it's
heretical of me, but I think sports belong on sports channels where they
don't interfere with other programming.
Sports _are_ unwatchable. Its what you have on as background noise
while you nap, waking up occasionally to ask "What's the score?"

Then you shouldn't make blanket statements.

Does comedy belong on the comedy channel? Drama on the drama channel?

To YOU.

Don't they just generally expect people to sleep it of and then watch
SGU on DVR?
It's TV. If you expect sanity in programing choices, you've been watching
too much of it.
They are.
Although not, I grant, to everyone. :P
Modern Secularism would do that.

I seriously doubt Modern Secularism has anything to do with it.
