11/02 Jerry Doyle was talking about "who could do a better job than
Tim Geitner" and said a better job can be done "Flounder -- Steven
Furst." I guess if JMS was "Forehead" everybody probably had
nicknames.

Did you catch Jeff Conaway on CSI last week? His face reflected his
long a difficult road . . .

Whether or not they called him "Flounder" on the set, it wasn't so much a B5
nickname as the name of the character for which he was (and still is) best
known, from "Animal House."

Jerry constantly caroling "Flounder" in the B5 DVD commentaries he was in
annoyed me considerably.

It was almost as annoying as the way he said "Kenickie" every time
Jeff Conaway was on-screen. <g> (Note for the whippersnappers in the
group: Kenickie was the character Conaway played in the 1978 John
Travolta/Olivia Newton-John musical "Grease")

Well I'm sure Doyle would get peeved every time I saw him onscreen and
said "Look, it's Bizarro Bruce Willis!" At least Furst and Conaway
had other notable work besides B5 (Conaway will forever be the
struggling actor from Taxi, since I gave Grease a wide berth, hating
both Travolta and Newton-John, *and* musicals based on 50's music)...
