According to those posts, the scripts for 1x14 Value Judgments, 1x15
To The Ends of The Earth, and 1x22 The End of the Line were released,
for free, on bookface.com. bookface.com, now, however, is a link
farm. I tried looking them up on archive.org but couldn't:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.bookface.com
Are these scripts available, anywhere, now?
I fully expect them to be released in a script book or four in a year
or two (now that the B5 script books are done, it doesn't really seem
like there's much left, other than Crusade), but I don't suppose
there's a way to read them /now/, is there?

No, they are not. This was one of those "if you snooze, you lose" deals.
Sorry.

No, not any longer. There are some good synopses at WorldsofJMS.com but not the
actual scripts.

IRCC You had to read them online through that site's reader.
What an utterly broken concept. The site is no longer extant so the scripts are
unreadable? Someone *must* have reverse-engineered that function...

The point was that they only be readable online. JMS and Fiona Avery put the
scripts up as a gift to fans but didn't want them to be prinable or copy-able.
Same with his novel "Tribulations". Unfortunately, nobody realized that
Bookface would be so short-lived.
The good news is that JMS has said that he will be doing Crusade script books so
there's a chance he'll include his unproduced scripts in those. Hopefully
there'll also be a Crusade: Other Voices script book, too, and Ms. Avery might
publish hers.

I don't suppose there is any clue when these might be released? Or for
that matter, when we might see the movie scripts book?

As a matter of fact, someone did.
But, as Jan noted above, the whole *point* was to make the scripts
available for fans to read without utterly destroying their value as
comodities - Fiona's ability to sell copies at cons and Joe's to
publish them later, for instance - by making them available to own for
free. Even if Bookface had survived, I don't think the scripts would
have been *permanently* available. I'm pretty sure the whole thing
was always intended as a limiited-time offer.
When it was announced Bookface would be closing soon, some fans did
copy the scripts. (Not by a process as sophisticated as reverse-
engineering, though. As I recall they either did screen caps or just
kept the script pages open in a browser window and then manually typed
them into a text editor.) After the site folded these scripts briefly
circulated among fans until JMS asked everybody to cut it out - which
I'm proud to say that they did. (OK, I did hear that one website
which had posted the scripts quietly shut down after getting a letter
from somebody's lawyers, but mostly fans complied voluntarily. <g>)
Regards,
Joe
