In today's Dilbert, the last line is "So it begins". I giggled, then
thought maybe I see B5 references in too many things. If that is
possible <g>.

Actually, the last line in the last panel today was "And so it begins." When
I read it, I didn't think it was a reference. But of course it could be,
Scott Adams being a B5 fan (and having appeared on the show himself).

Wasn't that a "Lord of the Rings" reference that B5 also used?

Yes, I know the expression was used in "Lord of the Rings" but I've seen it used
many times. It's just an expression that I don't think really has a definitive
source.

Not especially. The phrase may be used in the book, but I for one don't
recall it as especially memorable.

It was not used in the books. Only in the movies, and only once, by
Gandalf. Not sure why it was included, except for dramatic effect. At
least they did include "A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He
arrives precisely when he means to."
