No. Must not give in to the black hat(1). Must remain calm. He'd have
the Comedian Penguin Droid handle it. It was much better at handling
stupidity than he was.
A nearby terminal rang.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Far away in a mostly empty sector:
The hunter droid scanned it's surroundings. Not much there. A planet,
a single occupied developement, POKEMON! Reporting it's find on a tight
beam signal, it decended for a closer look. Landing several kilometers
away from the settlement, it made it's way by land, taking advantage of
cover. Soon enough it was intercepted by a lone pikachu in sith robes.
No big suprise, as the re-entry and landing were hardly stealthy. Good
news for it's master, for it confirmed the target. Flash transmission
update.
Bad news as it revieled the probe as more than a meteor. Protected
against EMP, the foes lightning attack was little threat. The light
sabre was quite another matter. Almost faster that it could be tracked
the energy blade swung, finding easy passage through the droids body,
nicking a power buffer coil. The coil sparked and exploded, leaving
little evidence of what the droid had been, throwing the sith rat
several meters.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Back on RASSM, a silver streak shot from Chateau des Ordinateurs to the
Giant PDA high above, as a penguin droid prepared to meet and bamboozle
the IRS auditor who was coming.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Later:
The giant PDA slipped out of hyperspace above the target planet and
deployed its droid fighters. A shuttle deployed with a landing force.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Summary:
- Alice and co. have been found. Will they evacuate in time? Will they
fight?
- The Hacker is in route to capture Alice.
- The IRS agent should soon meet his match.
- Unless something else happens, my next post will be the last of this war.
