Feller writes pretty good. We'll see whether he reports good this
afternoon -- Tater's takin his grandboy over to the 3D moviehouse to
see that picture this afterlunch. Boy covers his eyes durin any kind
of love scenes elsewheres. Ought to be able to tell if it's
embarrassin sex or hilarious animal ruttin by where little Leroy puts
his hands.

Closet homosexuals with mommy fixations, nothing more. No wonder half the
ads on American TV now are for antidepressants, for the parents of these
weirdos!!

Rule 34'ed in less than a week!

The movie looks like a hi-tech take on Ursula LeGuin's "The Word for World
is Forest".

But James Cameron wouldn't ever steal ideas from written sci-fi without
crediting them. Never never ever.

If I remeber correctly, it was the same actress who played Uhura in
the last Star Trek Movie.

I'd drool over her too.

It's interesting they've used blacks for some aliens in movies where
considerable facial differences from (white) humans are required.
Worf from STNG being another example.

But Duuuuude, they used her, Zoe Saldana: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0757855/

A) because she has 'star power' right now following the Trek reboot &
B) for her VOICE.

The Na'vi Female Protag doesn't resemble the actress voicing the part,
not like Sigourney Weaver's Avatar does.

What might have been interesting would be your take on it, but I don't
find you surprising.

In fact, if you want to get all Halley Berry on the subject there are
some who would argue she isn't 'Black'... but the worms all wriggling
across the table now.

Back on Avatar; I found myself noticing (as I watched the film) that
while there was semi-nude bipeds all over the place they weren't
_overtly_ sexed up.

The porn is yet to come.

The Na'vi were however designed to conform to the human standard of
beauty: tall, slim, long necks, V-shaped torsos, toned abs, etc.

Cameron saved most of it for the DVD release including Jake's full
mating scene.

The actor who played Worf got the part becuase when he was sitting in
the lobby waiting his interview & reading, he got into "the Klingon
Mindset" and just sat thre scowling and looking straight ahead.

When teh Casting Director came out and saw him there, she decided HE
WAS A KLINGON! ANd he got the part

Being over 6 ft tall helped too
