- hi; according to the beeb [a], salopian benjamin trottman
has been sentenced to perform 225 hours community service, and
banned from driving for 15 months, after having been reported
to the police by a private driver last year for erratic driving
of his 38-ton lorry on the M6 north of Kendal last year: it was
reported to be wandering across lanes and also to have a bright
glowing light inside the cab.

- a police car apparently followed the errant lorry for twenty-
five miles and, when they stopped him, they discovered that the
glow in his cab was caused by his watching episodes of the 1970s
cult tv series, battlestar galactica on his laptop, as he drove.

- i wonder what form afpers and rasffers'd consider particularly
appropriate for his 225 hours of community service to take.

- love, a ppint. happy to have two thrids(+) IMT back open

I can't see any option other than setting him to repaint the lane
markings on the M6. Perhaps he could be given the night shift.

One amendment: no lights, reflectors or flagmen: just him out there in
the dark, painting lane markings, on his knees, with a small brush.

He should be sent to that fuel production ship, you know, the one that
had the strike...
