Serializing Your Novel: A Chat with David J. Schwartz
Sunday, June 2, 2013 Noon
Lund's "Uptown"
1450 West lake Street, Minneapolis, MN
We're in the Community Room on the Second Floor
Many famous novels were originally serialized in magazines, coming out in
regular installments that kept readers coming back for more. Nowadays you
can serialize your book on Amazon, and have readers pay one price for
your partial manuscript and then automatically receive each installment
as you update. (And yes, there are other ways to serialize. And yes, we
will likely discuss those as well.)
Local author David J. Schwartz has been receiving a lot of buzz for his
serialized story, "Gooseberry Bluff Community College of Magic." His
short stories have been published all over the place, and he's been
nominated for a nebula, but this work is being serialized via Amazon's
Kindle Serials program. Feel free to come with questions, or to talk
about your own experiences serializing your work. We'll see you there!
