Term limits for parties

In the beginning: Yes, there would be puppet parties. The Heritage
Party would run candidates previously nominated by the Conservative
Party; the Social Justice Party ones previously nominated by the Liberal
Party; the Individualist Party ones previously nominated by the
Libertarian Party; etc.

But I think that after a while, there would be divergence. The officers
of one front party become ambititious; stop taking orders, start planning
to become a major party. Another is taken over by activists for some
cause.

Not better, but different is what I'm trying for.

The original proponents would presumably say the constitutional changes
would be better because they would result in something closer to what the
Founding Fathers intended.
