with the wrong eyes,
actually,
his own.

Stein said "Pete,
you've just about missed it
looking anything like me."

Picasso answered "That's how art won't work.
Just won't"

Of course, they didn't kiss.
Picasso put his thumb
in a pool of pthallo blue,
and Gertrude turned away.
