FLOWERS
-----------------------------------------------------------
Verse 1:
A flower starts off on a warm sunny day,
and a baby is born in the beautiful world.
There in the ground the flower will stay,
and in mummy's arm a baby lay curled.
To the two of them everything's new,
to the two of them everything's right.
The flower wakes up in the cold morning dew,
and the baby wakes up in the dead of night.
Chorus:
Little do they know of what there is to learn,
little do they know of how life will take its turn.
Little do they know of what there is to come,
not just to them and not just to some.
Verse 2:
Parents will take the best care of their child,
and the sun and the rain will take care of the flower.
The petals on the flower be colourful and wild,
and the baby shall grow each and every hour.
So far to the two of them nothing's gone wrong,
so far to the two of them life's still new and bright.
The flower is still standing stronger than strong,
And the baby is still trying to understand what's in sight.
Chorus:
Verse 3:
Now the flower is grown up and starting to rot,
And the child is learning the meaning of hurt.
The child is now learning that life's just a plot,
and flowers biggest saviours are rain, sun and dirt.
To the two of them everything's going wrong,
and the two of them are now beginning to learn.
That you can't have someone near you all day long,
and that eventually life will change and take it's own turn.
Chorus:
Verse 4:
The flower is our nature and nature is our beauty,
and the child is our person and the people are our world.
To save these special things is not God's duty,
It's our own, yes we must save our world.
And so to the two of them life won't go wrong,
and so to the two of them life will be right.
So their life won't be short instead shall be long,
and they can also live a life which is happy and bright.
