A talk with Sue Grafton about her latest Kinsey
Millhone mystery, "U Is for Undertow." (Amazon.com:
http://xrl.us/Undert ) For the series' first half,
people bet that she couldn't finish it. "Now," she
says, "they are rooting for me."

Here's a whole title:
Zhat's All, Folks!
Joan
Z is for Zodiac (my favorite) - Zucchini - Zapped - Zookeeper - Zealot
- Zero - Zipper - Zabaglione (someone could get poisoned by
undercooked custard ;-)) - Zinfandel - Zigzag -
N.
Not very exciting but I came up with:
Z is for:
Zealot
Zodiac
Zip gun
The Zealot has more possibilities. Zodiac - could have a case related
to the Zodiac killer, Zip gun - terrorist related?
Suzanne
heehee, Joan..
Let's see...
Z is for Zapped
" Zip
" Zombie
um, Zygote.
(She could have a baby and retire ;-)

Fantastic! Zodiac and Zigzag particularly. I'm dubious about "Zodiac"
because the ZOdiac killer was being pursued during the time period in
which the series takes place.
A friend of mine and I, who listen to Grafton whenever we drive to
Atlantic City have bet on whart the next word of each book will be. I
won wirh "Undertow" but don't yout think "X"is the most obvious
challenge? The only thing I can come up with is "X ray" and that's so
obvious. She can't use can't use "marks the spot," nrcause it breaks
the form and it's a Stephanie Plum sound alike.
So Grafton gives us a mystery even before she gives us the mystery.
