Any comments from readers of Inspector O??
Not the comment you're looking for, but I found this in a local charity
shop recently for 30p....

I've not read this debut novel, but I'd like to.
Unusual and/or exotic settings always attract me..
This is a very interesting place to set a series.

I tried the first and wanted to like it because the setting was
intriguing, but found it awfully slow. Maybe it was my mood.

I liked it! But then I like gleaning a tiny bit about foreign
cultures from my mysteries!

It was a little slowish, and I wondered if it had any relation to NK
reality, but I enjoyed it enough to read his second one too, and I'll
read his next one, if he writes it. I like the exotic in my mysteries too.

Yes, that's a problem, isn't it? One doesn't know enough about
North Korea to evaluate how it is described in the books. Still,
I am not aware of another series set there, so that alone makes it
interesting to me.
Speaking of foreign settings, I was thrilled to find Arnalder
Indridason's latest (translated) book on the library's shelves. I
will read a few other books here and then savor that.
