This movie starred "Shaq" as a magical genie. I won't get into how lame
and chiche'd the movie was (though it was still fun to watch), but I noticed
something very strange about it. It was on UPN 13 in Los Angeles yesterday.

 Even though the movie was relased in 1996, everything shown clearly
depicts the mid to late 1980's (The shots of the pop/hip hop bands playing
is one glaring example). Was this movie shot in the 80's, and just released
in 1996? Was Shaq well known back then?

No...it's just a sign of how in tune most H-wood producers are.
