Depth of the Cinerama Screen at THe Plaza Sydney?

According to the Front Page article in THE Australasian Exhibitor of
3 July 1958 a contract had been completed between Stanley Warner
Cinerama Inc. of New York and Hoyts Theatres Ltd., for the
installation of Cinerama at the Plaza Theatre Sydney in September.
Further into the article it stated that the screen was 76ft long, 28ft
high
curving to a maximum depth of 27ft 6inches. Further into the article
it states the screen is 146 degrees.
Does anybody know the formula for calculating the depth of a screen
when other particulars are given such as the area around the curve.I
would have thought that 27.5 ft would be incorrect for a 76ft
screen with a curve of 146 degrees.
Can anybody do the math?

It depends entirely on the throw.
