I always kick off every year with at least 2 weeks of new Script Tips
on my website - and I started off on Monday with a tip on avoiding
episodic screenwriting that use YEAR ONE as an example. Today is about
planning your year of writing - though my plans may change because I
seem to have another draft of this 1980s hit film remake for the
studio, plus a job adapting a novel and an assignment writing a horror
script. Tomorrow is about levels of realism in your screenplay and how
to write screenplays that seem realistic, like ADVENTURELAND.
Lots of new script tips this year, and I hope to repair the 50 old
ones that have not run since 2001 that are in the "garage". Hey, even
though I reviewed AVATAR on my blog yesterday, I have an upcoming
script tip using it as an example with material not discussed in my
blog review.
Anyway - I am closing in on 400 Script Tips, most around 2,000
words... and that's like 10 free screenwriting books worth of material
from a working professional screenwriter... FREE!
