Cutting MKE1 kevlar cable (and soldering)

Hi Guys, I bought a Sennheiser MKE-1 lav with Lemo. But, since I use Lectro WL, I need it to have TA5F. Where I bought it they didn't have the TA5F option and I need it and couldn't wait. Do you have experience in cutting the thin kevlar calbe and resoldering TA5F? is this possible? thanks
