Hi Guys,
I bought a Sennheiser MKE-1 lav with Lemo. But, since I use Lectro WL,
I need it to have TA5F. Where I bought it they didn't have the TA5F
option and I need it and couldn't wait.
Do you have experience in cutting the thin kevlar calbe and
resoldering TA5F? is this possible?
thanks

Cutting the cable should not be a problem. Re-tinning the wires might
be if they have a varnish type coating on them. If so you'll have to
burn away the coating with a match or lighter to get to bare metal.
The wiring for the TA5 is hot (+) to pin 3, ground (-) to pin 1, jump
pins 2&4.

better a lighter with a blue flame - if you have to burn something -
wont leave black soot...
