Subject: 5 pin xlr wiring
Excuse my laziness, folks,

Got to make up a 2x3FXLR to 1x5MXLR splitter cable tomorrow - anyone
care to tell me the standard wiring config (ie two balanced channels,
left and right) - it's to go into my schoeps splitter (just in case
that makes it different). Obviously, I'll get out the multimeter and
check whilst I'm doing it, but nice to know what I'm SUPPOSED to be
finding in advance.

Cheers all,

Jez

normal audio XLR:
 Pin 1 shield
Pin 2 hot (+)
pin 3 cold (-)

most likely the pinout you need is here:
http://www.schoeps.de/E-2004/xlr.html

it shows channel II as  pin 4 (+)
and pin 5 (-)

Thanks Glen & Tim!

I'll double check as I do it but that makes very good sense!

Cheers,   Jez
