Perhaps the Denecke slates just look better on camera.;-)) I love the

Well, you don't want any of that ambient time code cluttering up the
track.
No ambient cluttering the track except that Sound Devices uses Ambient
for their time code system. Should someone enlighten these producers?
They USE the ambient time code? Wow...that must get REALLY CONFUSING
in post. How do they filter it out so that you can read what's
actually relevant to the track? I mean, you can hear it too, can't
you? You know, a couple weeks ago, I could have SWORN I heard a
snippet of 25 frames float past me, and I'm in the US. Could it really
have drifted that far? Sorry...gotta go...my meds are ready for pickup
at the pharmacy.
