Reference Audio Design (RAD) built some units that work as yyou desire.
Company is out of business, but someof the larger supply houses (Coffey) (TAI)
(Location Sound) carried them and may know of used units.

FMR Audio, the makers of the RNC compressor are working on a DC version of the
RNC. I expect to know more in the next 30 days or so....

ERRR try Portable compressor, but the guy who started the thread types in

Well sure. Its a compressor with sufficient gusto for protting. Luckily I
haven't had to prot on too many shows.

This is of course to be differentiated from a "potable" compressor, which is
light and fruity, but with a crisp, dry finish. Suitable for serving with
game or pasta.
