When Britney Spears was busted for not using a car seat for her child,
social services was all over her. Then, today, we have a story about
Jennifer Garner's smart 2 year old. The story says that after being
locked into the car, the child followed Garner's advice on how to
unlock the car and get out. Suspiciously absent, however, is how the
child was able to accomplish this, if she was in her car seat. So, we
have Garner's child running around without a car seat, but Garner
doesn't get Spears' condemnation because....what...she's politically
liberal?

Wait, I got this one - maybe the doors got locked... BEFORE GARNER HAD A
CHANCE TO STRAP THE BABY INTO THE CAR SEAT?

Whew, that was a tough one.

Ken, there aren't scary lawbreaking liberals around every corner. And
incidentally, do you even know Garner is actually a Liberal? Are you
sure Spears is? Are you assuming Spears is a Christian conservative just
because she's white trash? How magnanimous of you.

Further, I hope you aren't one of those Christians that thinks you have
to be a hard-line Bush Neoconservative to be a Christian. There are lots
and lots of Christians in the world (myself included) who think we
shouldn't be at war with a country who did nothing to us, and who think
George Bush should be up on charges. Lots and lots of us.

If Garner has a smart 2 year old, Afflack better demand a paternity test.

She put the kid in the car, the kid was _holding_ the keys to the car,
the autolocking door did so, Mom told the kid how to unlock from the
inside.

No trouble w/ child services as far as I can see.

Trouble w/ harried mom letting the kid hold the keys though. Wonder if
being hounded as a celebrity might have led to (potential) frazzle.

Raising kids is a wonderful and troubling thing all at the same time.
