Anyone else catch this Maurice Tourneur flick on TCM recently? A
struggling artist buys a talisman which brings him everything he
wants, including success as a painter and the love of the woman he
desires. Of course, he finds the price is much higher than the penny
he gave the talisman's previous owner.
Reminded me of Dead of Night, although it's only one story rather than
a group of them.
"Curse you, Don Tickles, Notary Public!"
