one further: "Mr. Hagman, the son of stage star Mary Martin, appeared in
many movies - none of them remarkable..." Grrrrr....

Who can forget his cameo in Superman as the high ranking military
guy? Also Harry and Tonto, Nixon and SOB.

He also did his fair share of Special Guest Star appearances on
various Police and Detective shows during the 70's between Jeannie and
Dallas.

News reports say he died Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy on his bedside, in
Dallas hospital... He owned 2000 cowboy hats. How fitting.

Jackson, Houston, Dio, Summer, Hagman... all these 80s stars...

It's interesting how these guys worked their way up.

Early in his career, he was a guest star in several episodes of Lloyd
Bridges', "Sea Hunt", one of my favorite programs, and he also
appeared during one season in one of my ex's favorites, "The Edge of
Wetness......er........Night".

Seems it was. I saw the evening news on CBS and they mentioned that
"cast members" from the program "Dallas" had been at his bedside at the
end.

"Dallas" ran, I was also told, from 1978-1991. I lived in Dallas from
1978 to 1990. I never saw a single episode.

On the contrary. It likely means he indelibly marked that character
with a touch that is memorable. It's an honourific.
