Predator-like horror movie (not "Endangered Species") about 1980?

The date could be plus or minus five years.

I thought it was titled "Endangered Species", but that's a
government conspiracy movie.

This movie was similar to Predator (1987). Of course it was much
cheaper. The Predator hunted humans, using small discs thrown by
hand. When the disk contacted something (like a human being),
claws would come out and dig into the person's flesh.

It might have been an inspiration for Predator, either it or a
book it might have been based on.

Thanks.

Without Warning (1980)
I watched a jillion movies in 1980.

Tagline "Man Is The Endangered Species"

The "best" IMDB review starts with...
The Original "Predator"!

It was low budget, but probably inspired Predator.

Apparently the monster was played by Kevin Peter Hall, and he
played the alien in Predator, too.

Found it by searching for...
old horror movie called endangered species alien hunter

Odd you wouldn't remember cast members Jack Palance, Martin Landau,
Cameron Mitchell, Neville Brand, Ralph Meeker, Larry Storch, and David
Caruso. I may have to see this...

Yeah, but Kevin Hall was the biggest actor. And the cast included
a Nutter.
