The one-two punch: Terry O'Quinn, out of nowhere, and Donald E.
Westlake's script. I still remember how it sneaked into theatres and
started getting sleeper reviews.
That and "Camptown Ladies".

The plot though is so Lifetime Movie generic (hasn't Tracy Nelson made
about a dozen of these? the Perfect this and the Perfect that) that
if you take outTerry O'Quinn or Donald E. Westlake or anyone else
capable of putting an eccentric spin on the material, all you've got
is, well, a Lifetime movie. It's not even rated R so there won't even
be anything exploitable you wouldn't see in a Lifetime movie. But
then there's that bored teenage girl demographic the studios look to
be relying on more and more so we might not be part of this picture's
intended audience.
