films about the Partition

While looking for movies about the Partition, I came across a Hindi
movie called Jhootha Sach. There was no information about the story
line. Is it based on Yashpal's Jhootha Sach (This is Not That Dawn)?
JS would surely make a spectacular movie. If Bollywood can't handle
novels with as vast a canvass as JS, may be someone else like Ang Lee
should, after his Life of Pi.
